Dry ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour / aata
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
A pinch of salt
2 Tbsp walnut pieces
Chocolate chips (optional- I completely avoid these now)
Wet Ingredients
2 bananas
1/4 cup sugar
3 Tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup dahi OR 3 Tbsp ground flax seeds
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Method
- Preheat oven to 375 deg F / 190 deg C.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Mash bananas in another bowl.
- Add sugar and mix well.
- Stir in melted butter, dahi (or flax seed powder) and vanilla essence.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Grease the pan, then pour in batter. (I make mine quiet thick so it is never pouring consistency)
- Bake for about 30 - 35 minutes.
- Do the toothpick test to see if bread is done (insert toothpick in center, if it comes of clean then it's done.)
